| As you might know, several people in the Call of Duty community have been speculating that Sledgehammer Games, developers of Modern Warfare 3, will develop the Call of Duty that will come out in 2014, and that Treyarch will make the 2015 Call of Duty. However, I have a theory. The voice actor of Sgt. Frank Woods has tweeted about the possibility of Treyarch not making a game, so it is possible that he's not in the picture here. On the other hand, why would Sledgehammer be thrown into the mix as a third developer? My theory is that Sledgehammer WILL develop a Call of Duty this year, but Treyarch will also develop a game. A Zombies standalone. Zombies has become a massive part of the Call of Duty franchise, and I believe it would be fitting for them to create a Zombies game for those fans to get as much content as the Multiplayer fans do every year. In order to do this, they would need to devote their whole team to the Zombies cause to create a full game based on Zombies, and that is why they are not making a "normal" (With SP and MP) Call of Duty this year. What are your thoughts? Do you agree, or am I crazy? | |

| I dont know if they're making 2 games this year, personally I feel like Sledgehammer is actually assisting the zombie staff of treyarch with their game, for two reasons: --If I'm not mistaken, the group that works on the zombie mode is a small portion of treyarch. This could be absolute lies for all I know but I feel like thats the case XD --They want to make a more innovative game, so theyre calling in a new developer to help with fresh ideas by getting a new point of view | |

| The Zombies team is a smaller part of Treyarch, you're right. And I haven't thought about that. Maybe they are doing more of a team effort like MW3 than working separately like I thought | |

| Well, Sledgehammer has job openings for their team, and if they had Treyarch I don't see why they would have to hire more people when the rest of Treyarch is there to help, but it could still be a possibility, I still see Sledgehammer making their own CoD game though, and I do hope for a standalone zombies game by Treyarch, it would make my life. | |

| And if there was anybody they would call on to make a CoD game outside of the two existing developers, it would be Sledgehammer. They have experience, even if it's on a game that isn't one of my favorites, lol | |

| Whatever it is and whoever makes it, I just hope it takes place during WW2. Activison not wanting to do WW2 games anymore? How about a game that takes place during the Korean war? | |

| As someone who has never played a WW2 CoD, I would love for the next one to go back to that era. It would also probably be a sign of a game that was much more simple, too. | |

| If you've ever played WaW,then you'll understand why I want CoD to go back to that era. | |

| No no I'm sure the QUALITY of those games are great, that was a golden age of gaming for sure, its just the subject matter that doesn't really interest me. Also going back to the old theme doesn't necessarily mean going back to the old quality | |

| World at War was awesome! It's one of my favorites, I really enjoyed the multiplayer (til the hacker nation attacked) and the campaign was fun too! If CoD was to ever go back to that, I would definitely pick it up. | |

| Wait was the campaign really good? I never really thought of any cods after 3 to have really amazing campaigns. I mean theyre fun, but was it just really action-y or did it do something crazy? | |

| In other words if you liked MW3 you'll like the next CoD. | |
